Safety first! The wingless aircraft.

The plane that I’ve travelled on for so many hours through 5 continents crossing 3 oceans is now wing-less at El-Alaain Airport in Egypt awaiting its shipment to the port and then further on a ship to Europe. Although we’ve tried hard to fix the problem with the engine oil pressure for two months now, [...]

Hello dear friends,

A long time has passed since the time I have written to you, and unfortunately, difficulties never stopped. This time I am writing to you from Eritrea, the penultimate country of the mission in Africa. I came here from Sudan with a commercial aircraft, because I have not yet found the solution for my plane. Engine remains damages and mission Flying for Kosovo remains without funds. My exit from the country of Sudan has been problematic and with a lot of bureaucracy. I hope that Eritrea will be better,... more

In an effort to raise more funds for the repair of the engine, James has made a trip to the United States.  We want to continue to thank those who have already donated and urge those who have not to do so now.  The funds are coming in slowly, but there is still a lot of money needed to buy a new engine for the plane.  Please help James finish this historic African mission. Still in Sudan

Posted by flyingforkosovo On June - 20 - 20111 COMMENT

My dear friends, I hope that this letter finds you all well. I thought that I might take a quick moment to update you on my status down here in Sudan. I have been doing my best to obtain media interviews, both nationally and internationally while we are awaiting our plane repairs. In fact, some of you have probably seen my latest interview, where I was able to do an interview via internet. Other than that, things with our mission have not been going anywhere at all. In fact, I feel a moral responsibility... more

Acknowledgments and pictures from Sudan

There is no way in this world how I can thank enough the people who helped me here in Sudan. Mr. Denis Baillargeon and his team have been wonderful to me during all these days after the accident. They provided food, shelter, protection and emergency assistance in every aspect for me. Once, during a trip from Macedonia to Bulgaria, an Albanian helped Mr. Baillargeon in a difficult moment. He has never forgotten this, and now he was willing to return the favor to an Albanian. Yesterday, after the completion... more

Dear friends, I would like to inform you that the initial research and analysis of the accident was finished yesterday morning. The investigation was conducted by a research group of five experts from the Sudanese Civil Aviation from Khartoum who took the remaining parts of the exploded cylinder to their laboratory in Khartoum. Based on their analysis, it was confirmed that the main axis that controls the exploded cylinder was curved due to an enormous amount of pressure. That pressure also caused... more

Dear supporters of the mission, thank you from the depth of my heart for the attention you have shown during the entire mission, especially in my most difficult moments. As you know, I had an emergency landing in the deserts of Sudan and thank God I’m alive. The accident happened on Sunday afternoon. Due to the impossibility of communication, information was transmitted in pieces . After the event with which you are already informed, I’ve spent several hours in the mine “Hassai... more

JAMES HAD AN ACCIDENT!

Posted by admin On May - 30 - 201125 COMMENTS

During his flight from Port Sudan to Khartoum, Sudan, James had an accident with the plane.  After leaving Port Sudan around 2:00pm local time, he started having problems with the plane about one hour and twenty minutes into his journey.  At 8500 feet, he suddenly heard a very loud explosion and a few seconds later began to experience all kinds of shaking, noises, vibrations, etc.  As it turns out, the first cylinder on the right side of the airplane engine broke in two places, which prevented... more
